A Guide to Care, Compassion and the People Around Us

Motivation is a feeling, and feelings are unreliable substrates for anything that must happen daily. It arrives after a persuasive article, a bad photograph, or a birthday, and it departs on the third rainy Tuesday. Building health on motivation is building on weather.

Some distinctions assist. Sleepiness, the pressure to fall asleep, is different from fatigue, the sense that effort is expensive. The first usually points to sleep quantity or quality — Visiflora. The second may point almost anywhere.
